Hi All,
I've recently purchased a new shooting jacket and due to the amount of material in the left arm have the problem that when prone, the small finger of the right hand (lowest on the pistol grip) contacts the material in the arm of the jacket. I've checked the issf rules and found the following:
7.6.1.1.6
The rifle may be supported by the sling but the forend behind the left hand must not touch the shooting jacket.
7.6.1.1.7
No part of the rifle may touch the sling or its attachments.
7.6.1.1.8
The rifle must not touch, or rest against, any other point or object.
None of these apply as it's actually my hand that touches the material and not the rifle. I should imagine it could be rectified easily enough by taking a trip to the maker and getting the arm of the jacket modified, but that involves a bit of hassle.
Does anyone have an opinion as to whether this infringes the rules or not.

In the prone and kneeling positions, the sleeve of the shooting jacket must not extend beyond the wrist of the arm on which the sling is attached. The sleeve must not be placed between the hand or glove and the fore-end of the stock when the shooter is in the shooting position.
