Steyr LP5 Questions

I am interested in learning more about a Steyr LP5. Is there any decreased accuracy with its design? What other similar models, from any other manufacturer, are equal to or surpass it? Can anyone give me their experience related opinion on this pistol? Does anyone have a good used LP5 for sale? Thank You All.

Since the LP5 uses a magazine (as do all the other repeaters), there is a potential for decreased accuracy if/when the pellet is not perfectly aligned with the bore as compared to a single shot design. With the LP5, this might happen when the notches (or mechanism) that align the magazine start to wear. Of all the designs out there currently, the Steyr seems to be the best, and the LP5 is probably only surpassed by the LP50. Their only real compitor in recent years was the FWB C55, but I heard (on this forum) that it was prone to go full auto, and it was discontinued a couple of years ago. The Aeron B-98 might be the only realitic alternative at present, and while it is much cheaper than the Steyr, my guess is that you get what you pay for. I have a LP5P and love it.

I would add that the LP50 trigger is not as versatile/adjustable as the one on the LP10. It is basically a single stage with a slight roll. This is good for sustained fire, but IMHO is not as good for single shot. But I have seen seen scores shot with the LP50 in the 550's
