Jacket touching Mat

Hey, I am a RIGHT HANDED rifle shooter, in my prone position my RIGHT hand touches the mat(very marginally) which is not allowed according to the rules.

Now I have tried bringing the handstop back, shifting the butt hook down and also tighten the sling (nothing works), I have also tried pulling the right hand towards me(it's a little uncomfortable but works), now is there any other way I can lift my right hand so that my hand doesent touches the mat.

Many Thanks

It sounds like your elbows are too far apart. Try bringing your elbows closer together or inward.

They work like the two legs of a triangle. With them far apart on the ground, the top of the triangle (the rifle position) will be lower. As they get closer together the triangle base gets shorter and that will raise the rifle higher.

Yep, if you place your left elbow so that it is just to the left of the stock this should raise your position a little and bring your hand up.

Hey I did just that, but after doing that I dont know how to feel comfortable, (my wrist pushes tends to push the rifle forward hence the butt hook does not sit properly on my shoulder, hope you understand what I am trying to explain...

Try the new position withou the sling and forend stop in place. You will probably find that you need to move the forend stop out and lengthen the sling a little bit.
