noise

from observation - it would be more dependent on the velocity that the pistol was set to, rather than the type of propellant

AP discharge noise

Post by funMor »

I tested a FWB P40 recently. It was the most noisy AP I have fired so far. Both the compensator, and the air bleed-off holes of the barrel increases noice. Ear muffs should be worn when firing any AP. Especially indoors.

Just my 4 cents,

From what I have heard, CO2 has more of a "crack" and air has more of a "pop" at a similar velocity. Pistols seem to have a more noticeable difference, rifles not as much.

As stated, the velocity setting and barrel design (ported, compensated) have a lot to do with it also.
