I think Caesar makes some really amazing guns, I don't own any MG, but I have shot the MG2 and MG1. Both fantastic to shoot. However, the engineering is just too complicated in them, so they work well when everything is perfect. But in the real world, things are rarely perfect. I think a gun with both mechanical and electronic firing systems is great, in theory. In reality, it is just another bit of complication that can break.

My Morini 162EI has never failed (knock on wood) in training or in competition. And I always bring a extra set of AAA batteries. I've only ever seen one case where the electronics board actually failed, and in that case, I lent the guy my backup Morini's control board, and he shot the match fine.

safety flag

Post by kaban56 »

just came across this on matchguns website:

http://www.matchguns.com/sites/default/ ... k=iysAdLbv

"The drawing shows how to correctly use the safety flag with the Matchguns MGH1 air pistol.

Be sure to fully enter the cable into the muzzle and the pellet introducer.

This solution must be used in all equipment control sections and it will be accepted.

Also the same procedure must be used any time when you take out the pistol from the case."

Any thoughts? David?

I have asked Matchguns for clarification on a few points. When/if they respond I'll give a full answer.

My main questions are:-
1) Has this been approved by the ISSF
2) What is meant by "fully enter the cable into the muzzle".

No reflection on MatchGuns, but I would be more confident in a statement from the ISSF

One of my other questions was whether they had a letter of approval from the ISSF they could send me ;-)
