I'm still at a loss on the black gunk issue..... maybe there is something else mixed with the silicone oil you are using reacting with the anodizing???

the lock up problem is a problem with older Morinis with many shots through them. Uneven low spots wear into the steel cocking lever or the aluminum slot on the frame has them. normally we have been able to stone these out to keep them going....... but it seems to re-occur in much shorter time frame.

. . . but then this "lock-up" occurs on Leadbelly's NEW Feb '13 Morini and the new Morini-short I have . . . ?

I've discontinued any exposure to silicone oil, only a 99% isopropyl alcohol cleaning (w/ trace amount of hBN mixed in) . . . so far NO reoccurance of "black gunk," but I've only shot about 100 pellet in last two weeks.

. . . . will continue observations . . .
