This sounds great! How many people make up a precision pistol team?

@ASchlem 4 shooters make up a team for the precision pistol match, we'd be happy to have you join us.

I signed up but I'm confused as to which target to shoot with my free pistol, a TOZ35. I can easily shoot up to 25 yards, not meters, at the local indoor range. At 70 I'm just doing this for fun anyway.
I also assume I can just shoot the normal 25 yard targets with my bullseye 22 for the other match.

Hi Dave,
I don't actually know which target is used for 25 yards. It's perfectly ok to shoot at 25yards though. I'll ask around and see if I can get a target number that'd work.

One week to go until scores can be entered and registration is still open. We're looking for some more 3P Air Rifle & Trap shooters to give our competitors a good match. We also have a 2x10 Prone Rookie Division for new shooters - targets can even be shot in practice! The league already spans 7 states and 2 countries and is still growing. Join us and let's have some fun!

Matt, what's the number of shots per week for the free pistol section? Ten, on a target appropriate to the distance?

Ok I've got some answers!
For 20 yards it would be the B35 target.
I just noticed this morning that I had free pistol incorrectly set up as a precision match so it was showing the wrong target info. I have corrected this so it now shows 6 targets each week - 10 shots per. Sorry about that.

Ex 600 each week on top of my winter league shooting? Wow!
I'll manage it somehow...

I got to thinking about that this morning, that 60 shots a week could be a lot. I can think of two possible solutions - first, if you are shooting the exact same thing for your winter league we could allow your scores from that league to be submitted to this one. We allow that for two of the other leagues. In fact, there's a button on those leagues to send the scores from one to the other. The other solution would be to ask the other guys shooting if they would be open to shooting 30 shots instead.
What do you think?

I'm with David on the number of targets. Six will take a while and I have other shooting matches I need time for...but I can do it.
Let's see what the other free pistol shooters want.
BTW-I ordered done B35 targets and can scan one and send it out. Let me know.
Kind regards,
David

Twenty (or maybe thirty) would be more manageable for me, on top of a heavy league stint already; twenty is the norm for a round of a medium range pistol league here, and this is not the only one I'm in by a long way!

Ok, I've got two more responses I am waiting for still. I'd like to hear what they say too but so far everyone is in agreement to reduce the number of shots.
Also, you won't need to scan your targets and send them unless someone challenges.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm offering to scan a B35 target so people can make copies to shoot.

Want to put this out there...
What would you say about a monthly free pistol match, full course? We are thinking just a one day thing each month. Perhaps if we do this regularly we can get more free pistol shooters together.
Another question, anyone shooting with an electronic scoring system? If so, which one?
Thanks!
Matt
