The 4500 psi SCUBA tanks mentioned above will use a 300 DIN valve. Pistols or rifles rated for 3000 psi will use a 200 DIN adapter. Screwing a 200 DIN adapter into a 300 DIN adapter will not seal. It's not deep enough. This keeps people from putting 4500 psi into a tank rated for 3000. A 300 DIN adapter will seal on a 200 DIN valve. While I'm sure the tanks are pressure tested by the manufacturers well over the rated pressure, I don't know by how much.
Dive shops sell 4500 psi fills as "Nitrox'. It's a mix with a higher % of oxygen so a diver is less likely to get what used to be called the bends.

I don't know whether Best fittings sell their filling adaptors for either the Morini or the Steyr to the US but it I'm sure it would be worth asking them.nglitz wrote:The 4500 psi SCUBA tanks mentioned above will use a 300 DIN valve. Not sure if the OP is in US or not. In any case a very good source of tanks and accessories in the US is Joe Brancato at http://www.airtanksforsale.com.
Near the bottom of the page is a stainless adapter that'll work with AP cylinder fill fittings called out as 'Stainless Steel DIN200/DIN300 to Male Paintball Quick Disconnect (Fits Steyr, Feinwerkbau, Anschutz, AA/CZ200, etc.)' and looks like: http://www.airtanksforsale.com/din200.jpg. You'd also need a microbore hose and foster quick disconnect fitting. I bought my whole tank/hose/gauge/fitting setup from him.
Another new item is a low(er) cost 4500psi compressor at mrodair.com.

Re: Steyer or morini and tank or compressor
I was out of town so I didn't get my dig in.
I just bought a Walther LPM1 SSP. It will supplement my Steyr LP1.
I haven't used it much yet and have not finished tweaking it, but I see no real difference in my scores so far.
If you think your scores will increase with a new gun.....you're dreaming.
