Feinwerkbau seem to have ditched the old slides, not sure if they were plated or stainless.
Plating needs to be done carefully or hydrogen embrittlement can be induced - get a metallurgist to have a look.

What is explained in this article = to lower the pistol in the hand is exactly what Morini did for the CM22M RF vs the normal CM22M: they modified the frame and designed a new grip so that the pistol is about 4mm lower in the hand with as result to improve the recoil/pistol jump for rapid fire.MRT wrote:http://toz35.blogspot.com/2009/09/revie ... -aw93.htmlPakman wrote:looking at the problem again and it may not be the extractor that is rubbing but the bottom of the slide.
I am not keen on shooting it in this condition in case it snaps again.
I'm a bit worried about interfering with the magazine in case I introduce feeding problems
any suggedtions?

I suspect they realised they had a problem with the nickel plated slides and decided not to risk warranty issues.Leon wrote:JamesH wrote:Feinwerkbau seem to have ditched the old slides, not sure if they were plated or stainless.
They were plated. For some mysterious reason, FWB went to the two tone route.
You can still get the slides nickel -plated as a special order. I know, because I asked the factory.
Just a hunch really.
