I got my 50e in February after a three month delay - if my sources are right, Steyr redesigned the electronics or switched suppliers in late fall 2009 because of technical problems, so I wouldn't be surprised if there really were some issues here or there. My one works fine, and I never heard anyone complain about a late serie e-model, but there aren't that many around.

Hi Tycho
An interesting reply. Have you any info on which serial numbers were involved prior to the change? Do you have any references or can you point me to somewhere I can find further details?
Can anyone else help?

Have they got over the early reported problem of doubling caused by the trigger still being very close to the break point after firing a shot (maybe not explained very well but I'm sure you will understand what I mean).Tycho wrote: - if my sources are right, Steyr redesigned the electronics or switched suppliers in late fall 2009 because of technical problems,

LP10 E
Hi All
See earlier post on damaged trigger blade carrier.
My LP10 E was returned on 2 June via the RGD with a new trigger blade carrier and is working well. I have no details on what was done other than the damaged trigger blade carrier has obviously been replaced, but the sound level when using dry firing is different, more positive and louder. Perhaps the battery was changed. I had expected some form of documentation, report or comment, but there was not even a compliments slip from Steyr UK.
