I have an FWB 300S rifle, and just recently started having this problem where occasionally when I pull back the cocking lever a blue rubber piece is stuck to the spot where you insert the pellet. I've handled it by just stiking the pellet in that, closing the lever , and firing. When I open it the rubber piece is back where it should be but not seated all the way, so I push it back with my finger. This works for a while, then it does it again.
Any advice to what is the cause and how to correct it?

I guess you mean the conical shaped blue breech seal.
Fit a new one, they normally take quite a bit of finger pressure to seat fully down in the end of the piston so i suspect that this one has shrunk slightly from age making it a loose fit.
A tiny smear of engineers lock tite on the out side surface, not the base surface should hold it in place.
