Post by vagroundhog »

Who makes the best brass catcher. I have one from Champion's Choice that I am not totally satisfied with.

I use a CMM and have been happy with it - http://www.cmmshootingsports.com/index.php?cPath=21_25

I made my own. I used a mesh nylon laundry bag from Walmart. To hold it open in a circular shape, I used the spring steel wire from an old windshield sun blocker. I then attached it to a long aluminum rod from an old outdoor TV antenna which was mounted to a wooden base. The height is adjustable along the aluminum rod and I clamp the whole thing to the bench with a C-clamp. Cheap and effective!
Can you say "scrounger"? :-)

I also have one from champions choice that I do not like. I think the CMM ones are the best. I will be getting one of those here shortly. K

The CMM looks like what I want. Thanks for the replies.

I have the CMM. Buy it and you will never regret it. CMM is constantly coming up with nice little refinements.

Hi

Air Force Surplus helmet bags carry the CMM brass catcher pretty well.

is an example of one. The main section holds the frame, and the side pockets hold the base. Padded so you don't break the brass catcher.

Later
