Quality Chinese air pistol? Do they exist?

Post by Guest »

Chinese are the premiere air pistol shooters now a day. Do their shooters use all European air pistol or do they use their own Chinese air pistol?

Any one with experience with their air pistols?

Are there quality Chinese air pistols? If they exist, where can one get one of them?

I guess it is a stupid question. Of course they exist. But anyone seen them before?

I've been told by a friend returning from Europe that the chinese were around trying to buy 5,000 air pistols sometime before the Olympics.

Would not do that if they could show something worth showing...

I visited a provincial Chinese shooting team for a few days after the Olympics, and they were all using western made air pistols. Morinis, Steyrs, and Feinwerkbaus.

In Sport pistol, they do have some Chinese made pistols, but even those are rare, as the company that made them has gone out of business. The only Chinese who shoots with a Chinese made pistol internationally is Chen Ying. Who, didn't do too bad in Beijing, she only got gold... but her pistol is a dying breed... every part is essentially made to fit that individual pistol. Since the company shut down, there is now just one guy still traveling around various provincial teams supporting those old Chinese pistols. But most of the coaches who have a shooter who uses that gun knows how to fix it.
