Morini CM22 /CM22RF

Hi,

Can someone please explain the differences and advantages of these two pistols.

The ones I am interested in are the new alloy versions.

It will be used by a 12 year old girl.

I'm a bit off-topic here but I'm looking to buy a target pistol and I've checked Morini's website and they don't have any RF versions there. Do they have an outdated website?
ScottT, begging your pardon but can this 12 yo girl handle a weight of 950 grams for an unloaded pistol??? What is this pistol going to be used for?

Yes she currently uses a Hammerli SP20 very well. (1130 grams)

She uses a Hammerli 480 for Air and does not have any trouble with the weight.( 1060 grams)

I am led to believe that these are new models of the Morini.

The differences between the CM22M and CM22M RF are mainly:
- the RF has a different frame around the trigger unit with some changes in the trigger mechanism.
- this new frame combined with a different grip allows to lower the pistol in the hand (about 4mm lower). The result of this change is that the CM22M RF grip doesn't fit on the CM22M. The CM22M grip fits on the CM22MRF but the pistol becomes higher in the hand, same height as the CM22M.
- the RF breech is different with a reduced weight.
- the total weigth of the pistol is reduced

I have tried/compared both versions and the RF is more stable/less muzzle jump => I bought the RF that also fits for standard.

Indeed, the website of Morini is not updated.

As far as I know, it doesn't exist in English since the guy who made the test is french speaking.

But you can see the differences between the CM22M and CM22M RF.

I copied and pasted paragraphs into Google translate, and I must say I was very impressed.

Looks like my daughter will have a try of the Rapid Fire version.
