Would anyone care to identify the make and model of air rifles that were used in the men's 10m air rifle finals?

Looks like Steyr is not being widely used. Is there a reason?

thomas farnik currently holds the world record with a steyr lg110, 703.1, granada spain 2006... other than that, i can't think of anyone on the world cup circuit who uses it. oh wait, i take that back... from what i remember someone really good during the 2004ish season was using the lg100.

awfully great achievement to overlook though.

I think one of the reasons people shied away from the Steyr was the LG-100. as it was only available as a take down rifle, barrel and butt were removable. Shooters are a pretty conservative lot and this for them was one step too far. I had an LG-100 and loved it. it would shoot just as tight a groups as any other rifle but i just could not get used to the dead feel when firing.
I also think that making the over all length to the ISSF limit went against what shooters wanted. They would much prefer a shorter rifle and add on an extension if they needed it.
Steyr realised this was a marketing problem, so with their new LG-110, they offered it in fixed or take down. Sales then started to pickup.
It is still in the minority when you look at all the guns being used on the international circuit.
If Steyr could just reduce the dead feel a tad to give the shooter some feed back on firing, i suspect its sales will go up.
