new ap shooter...

Post by vin »

Good morning,

Are there "must read" links for beginners practicing at home?
And is there a "Bible" of AP?

I bought Competitive Pistol Shooting, by Laslo Antal. It's way from the UK.

Thanks,
Vin

Hi Vin,
There's a great book called the "Pistol Shooter's Treasury" that's a compendium of articles from the 60's (back when everyone shot iron sights) by Gil Hebbard. You can get a copy here: http://www.champchoice.com/shop.php?pline=BOOKS

Although it's mostly about NRA conventional pistol, the fundamentals are the same and it's a really neat volume.

Steve.

That's where I bought the IZH46M (Pilk was out of stock).
Thanks,

The Army Marksmanship Unit's Pistol Training Guide is a good place to start on the basics.

grips...

Post by vin »

Hi,
We just got the IZH46M. The grip is very tight. Is there someplace (someone) within two hours of Boston to get the grips cut?
Thanks!
Vin
