Congratulations Abinav Bhindra
Congratulations to past (and perhaps still?) Target Talker Abinav Bhindra for his Olympic Gold medal. He finished with a great finals to overtake two who finished ahead of him in qualification.
Those of you who have read Ways Of The Rifle and Air Rifle Shooting books will remember seeing pictures of Abinav with his Walther LG-300 XT.
He did some extensive training in Germany and it has paid off. Well done Abinav, lets hope that more Indians take up this great sport as you have no doubt inspired them and us.

Congratz Abinav!
I had the privilege of training with him when he was in Cape Town to see his mental trainer. He really worked hard for that gold medal.
I wish that someday South Africa will give their own shooters the treatment and funds to achieve what Abinav achieved.
We cannot get that kind of mental training without sponsors.
And we will never be able to win a medal at the Olympics without the experience of having been there before. SA should be proud of their shooters winning quota places, not break them down by saying it is not good enough. Give us a chance to show what we are worth.

Ran across an interesting article in Business Week about sponsorship of Indian athletes, including Abinav.
Congratulations to him!
