Fiocchi Pardini SP(?).22's

Post by MSC »

How are the early ones when they were still marketed (partially?) under the Fiocchi name? Some growing pains like most new match pistols? Anyone have/had one they can pass along thoughts on? Would parts likely be available still?

Any info appreciated.

I shot one for years without a problem; but problems were reported. The older mags had feeding problems; the fix happened about the time Don Nygord took over the line. Frames occasionally cracked in the area of the mag well (much more common in the .32); this was cured by the addition of the "racing stripes." I couldn't give you a complete rundown, but some parts are not interchangeable with the new models, and AFAIK there are no parts remaining of the old type. The newer trigger design with the 1st stage weight set by a screw on the top of the frame instead of a concentric screw underneath is easier to adjust and, in my experience, maintains its setting better. I'd like to have mine back (bought it in 1991 sold it in 2000), but I wouldn't pay a lot of $$ for it. Good luck.
