a23 3P classification ?
Anyone Know what the classification percentage numbers are for outdoor 3P shot on the A23 target I would think they would be quite a bit higher than on the international target. Also Is there a different name for a 3p match shot on A23. Thanks

3P Scores
According to page 21 of the 2008 NRA National Champonships Program & Entry Information, the minimum scores are:
Master 1104
Expert 1044
Sharpshooter 960
Marksman 900
Though I did not find it in the program, I believe that the 3P Course of fire on the A-23 would probably be called "Conventional 3-Position" since it is on the conventional target. It parallels "Conventional Prone" (as opposed to "Metric" or "International")

When in doubt, check the rulebook
When in doubt, check the rulebook (it's even on-line).
According to the most recent NRA Rulebook, there are separate percentages for each type of 3P shooting (as well as separate numbers for outdoor vs. indoor)
http://www.nrahq.org/compete/RuleBooks/SBR/sbr-w19.pdf
Look under "OUTDOOR CONVENTIONAL 3-POSITION"
MA 97% and above or 1164
EX 94% and above or 1128
SS 91% and above or 1092
MK below 91%
Note, however, that these are NOT the numbers that the NRA used in their Camp Perry Program.
