Vote For Lones Wigger

Post by Hip's Ax »

Wig is up for the Hall OF Fame. Log onto this sight (the original e-mail said you can vote once a day) and vote for Wig for Individual.

Already voted earlier today when my old coach forwarded me the ballot.

Wigger is a legend in this sport, and a great guy to boot. Whether it was just shooting BS with him out at Camp Perry or the OTC, or the time that he brought me a brick of his own Federal Ultra when I had a faulty brick that cost me a championship, he'd always been nothing but a hoot and sincere guy.

The odds of people matching his olympic achievements in this sport are far and few between, and he has put a name to this sport. Where else can you go to a smallbore match and see a shy young shooter reluctant to talk to someone because of their legendary status?

Wigger in Hall of Fame

Post by metermatch »

You mean Wigger isn't already in the Hall of Fame??

This is a no-brainer.

Not only is Wigger the best shooter in history, but I suspect he might also be considered the most successful amateur athelete in history, in ANY sport, not just shooting.

If the comments are any indication on the site it looks like Lones is getting lots of votes. What a great guy, he really deserves it?

Hall of Fame

Post by metermatch »

Just a thought - is this hall of fame voting kind of like high school student body president or most political offices - mainly a name recogination game? How are the athletes chosen? Is it by total votes received? If so, then isn't a less popular sport like shooting no match for a sport like swimming?
