Modifying my AP grips

Post by TimC »

So, I got th grinder out and started working on my LP-10 because my
XL grips are too small... (Don't ask, big hands). Anyway, I ground
a couple mm off the palm shelf and adjusted the angle a bit, so it's
more comfortable. Then I had a thought (Always, happens that way
after I've done something that could be incredibly stupid). I wonder
if this is legal?

I see all kinds of people doing weird stuff on 50M pistol, so assumed it's
not a huge deal, but figured I'd check.

Anybody?

Thanks,
TimC

Take a look at rules 8.16.0 and 8.17.0 in the ISSF Special Technical Rules for Pistol Shooting

Quick and dirty, if you changed the angle so that the shelf is now less than 90 degrees from the vertical, i.e. it is "cupping" your hand in any way, it is illegal.
