So after a 8 year hiatus from competing in air rifle and smallbore 3P I picked up a IZH Airpistol and started to have a bit of fun again. This led to my purchase of a very nice little TOZ35M last week. Now I am not all that framiliar with freepistol. The grips on this pistol seem a bit tight even for my hands. I dont think my hands are the largest out there but I believe I have the grips adjusted all the way out and it is way tight. Is this normal? Also I have to fight to get my hand in the grip but once in although snug I can shoot the gun well. I just need to fight with it to remove my hand when Im done. If these prove to be to tight then, I may try to make a set of my own if I can find some basic plans. Anyone have any by the way
I must admit. I am having a wicked good time though. I am also reading chapters of yur yev's book that I never read years ago.
Love this site.

See Don Nygord's Notes for a basic discussion on fitting pistol grips:http://www.nygord-precision.com/
If you chose to buy, rather than make, I suggest Rink grips. I use them on my FP and SP and find that they fit me very well. They have more adjustment features than most other makes. Larry Carter is the U.S. distributor.
I have found that for FP tighter is better - within reason. Perhaps just removing a little wood in the right places will do.
