Browning target pistols

Post by Mike Taylor »

While mousing about the Internet today, I came across a user's manual for the Browning 'International II' and 'Practice 150' pistols. My first pistol was a Browning Medalist. I presume these models are derived from the Medalist. Never saw them in North America. Are they still in production? I imagine not, but they would seem to be a good choice for a used, 'starter" pistol for tyros - assuming prices are reasonable. They offer some advantages over a S&W Model 41 or a Ruger Mk II (probably not on price cf. the Ruger).

The " International" had a few extra features the best of which was the ability to dry fire. It also had some ad on weights.
