How much pressure if any do you place on the comb of the rifle stock with your cheek bone? Enough to support the weight of your head, or more to add some stability to the stock.
This is in reference to the off-hand position.
Thanks.

Head pressure on comb
Hi Steve
In the book 'Air Rifle Shooting' they make a strong point that only the weight of your head should be resting on the top of the cheek piece/comb.
Exerting more head/cheek pressure by using neck muscles only introduces more tension which is not good.
The bottom line is, just let the weight of your head sit on the comb, this way neck muscles can stay relatively relaxed.
