Specs for Turning Target System

Post by randy1952 »

We are looking at building a Turning Target System. We have a controller However, we don't know what the distance between the five targets? I know the height of the target to center is 1.4 meters + or - .1 meters. Are there any other dimensions I should take into account?

ISSF Rule 6.3.17.13:-
Target frames for the 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol event must be placed in groups of five (5), all at the same height +1cm, all functioning simultaneously and all facing one firing point which is centered on the middle target of the group. The distance between target centers, axis to axis, in a group of five must be 75 cm (+1cm).

That section of the ISSF Technical Rules would obviously be worth reading.

Hope this helps.

What would be the center to center distance for targets for 50ft targets?

Spot on Stan.

50ft = 15.24m therefore the centre to centre needs to be 75cm x (15.24/25) which is 45.72cm (18 inches).

Hi David,

Actually, I calculate it to be 17.999084 inches, but rounding is a wonderful thing!
