Which do you prefer and why, the M22 front sight tunnel or the M18 front sight tunnel. Is there any advantage to either of them or is it simply personal preference.

I vote for the M22
I prefer the M22 on air rifle because the front sight circle doesn't look as small.
M22 FORESIGHTS
The M22 forsight tunnels first made popular by FWB is an advantage over the 18mm tunnels.
Firstly, it allows more light through to the aiming eye, it also gives the aiming eye more spacial awareness in relation to the black aiming mark against a light back ground.
Some down range wind flags are now (not always) in the sight picture.
For air rifle shooters only using a single bull target it is and advantage but for those using the 5 bull cards, some intrusion of an adjacent bull may be seen in the periphery of the tunnel.
Overall i think it gives a better sight picture than the 18mm tunnels basically because of improved light transmission.
