Custom M52 ? NOW WITH PICS!!!

Picked up a used 52 for a very good price.
I noticed on the frame that there were screws installed.
Can anyone tell me what these could possibly be for!
There were 4 total, 2 on each side with the other screw matching the exact location on the opposite side.

Any help would be great, pics to come

Where on the frame? Possibly for a frame mounted red dot sight?

not for scope mount.
You can see one at the front of the frame and one right next to the trigger pin. they are that way on both sides of the frame.

are you sure they arn't original? I seem to recall screws on the one i shoot too.

interestingly:
in the pics the screw near the trigger pin 'interferes' with the stamping, and the pic in the 10P files does not have these screws

These screws are not original. I have 7 M52's and not one has these on the frame.
