Help ! Problem with a Morini CM162MI

Post by Tony.T »

Sorry that my 1st post is a cry for help- but I'm sure you guys can help me, so here goes.....

I recently acquired a used Morini CM162MI. Been very pleased with it- shoots better than me.

But, last night at the club, it refused to cock on a couple of occasions. Once I got home I tried it again and found that it now won't cock at all.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how was it fixed? Is it an adjustment issue? If so I don't have an owners manual (the original owner lost it !) So can someone scan the relevant page for me?

Finally does anyone in the UK know who the UK importer/ agent may be in case I have to send it for repair ?

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks for that- how much did they charge to repair it?

I've had dealings with Surrey Guns in the past- as it happens they're not too far from me.

Not for anything---how full was your cylinder? The only time that happened to me with my my Morini AP was when the cylinder pressure was too low.

Hi Bob, the cylinder pressure was ok. I know what you mean about the pressure lock though. The cocking arm was cycling properly.

Looks like a trip to Surrey Guns to see mr Manley and spend £100 :v(

And to see Mr psf32, if you catch him when he's working there.

I had it happen with a 162 MI, the sear isnt catching, find the screw for it and your in bizz. It isnt that simple as that screw isnt shown in the manual. Warren and I couldnt find it so I took an electronic instead. Scott fixed it, He could tell you if you call or write, could save you 100 quid

Took the pistol in to Surrey Guns yesterday, told that it would be looked at today.

Got a call at 11.30 this morning to tell me it was ready to pick up. Or for an extra £10 they could DHL it to me. Not a nice trip for me so I told them to do the DHL thing

Total cost £57. I'm happy with that

Just to let you all know that kronosmxi took the trouble to translate the manual from Spanish to English, added the pictures and e-mailed me the finished manual. Marvellous !!

Just shows that although we may live in different continents, speak a different language etc, us shooters are the same under the skin.

Makes you feel all warm and cuddly.

It is my pleasure, I think if we support each other, could be a very strong community

I received the same favor a couple of weeks ago, Neil R. Foster send me a hard copy of the Hamerlli 107 Manual, I could not pay for this, I like to pay to someone else

sincerely yours
