Please help ID free pistol

Post by Tigerseye »

I've obtained a free pistol marked ZENTRUM and Walter Munk, Suhl.

It is blued with a color casehardened receiver. It has a falling block action acuated by the trigger guard.

Can anyone here help me identify this pistol?? I was tol by the previous owner that he bought it used and was told it was an East German team gun.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you post pics? If you can take pictures but can't post, I'll be happy to do that for you.

I collect FPs and have a decent store of data. PM or a post, with a photo, will help. Dave

Thanks for the replies. I'm sorry that I did not reply to you sooner.

I do not have a digital camera and am not set up to send photos.

Thanks for trying.

Yes - that's it! Mine has a palm shelf, but otherwise is the same gun.

Can you provide any info on these?

Unfortunately not, other then that Suhl is in Germany (former DDR) and has a splendid reputation in both the fabrication of guns and ISSF matches!
I am not a collector myself. Does it shoot well?

I'm no great shakes as a FP shooter, but it does shoot very well.

Of what I've tried, it likes Wolf match target.

Thanks for the reply.
