Howcome when I shoot in finals

Post by Jamesn »

I never shoot less then an 8?

We have a mock finals after every match, and theres something about the pressure of the 75 seconds they give you that makes my shot perfect.

I generally get 9s and 10s, but if i slip i get an 8. and this is after i've shot a 60 shot match.

In a match i have to work hard to keep the black.

Any tips for my shot process that will allow me to mimic my results in the finals? I'm shooting about 490 right now

Your just thinking about that timer and not really thinking too hard about shooting---the less you know the better you shoot ( or something like that.)

I'd go even further and say during the finals you're not thinking. You probably don't have time enough to think. You're acting reflexively based on your training.

Contrast this to when you're shooting regularly where you're probably thinking too much to the point of distraction.
