A family member is interested in Biathlon events. Are there any web sites with information on getting started? What is the best way to train? She is a marathon runner, bicycle racer, triathlon and iron man competitor and likes to ski. Is there a Biathlon type event that involves running instead of skiing?
Thanks for any information,
Bob

I bet if you do an internet search, you will find most, if not all, of what you need.
Biathlon
You can also get information by going to the U.S. Olympic Committee website, where all he National Governinng Bodies for the Olympic Sports are listed, with contacts. I have no doubt but that they will be delighted to give you as much info and help as possible. Attracting new athletes for such a physically demanding sport as Biathlon isn't easy. Expect a big welcome from them and at any Summer Biathlon or other event they hold.

Minnesota biathlon has a great website with a links page to everything biathlon. You can link to Colorado biathlon from there. I do summer biathlon and use this website for all my website links to world, national and regional events. Also major equipment manufactures and custom equipment suppliers can be linked there.
