Another Search for MD Air Pistol Competitors

Post by Ed Hall »

This is another shameful advertisement for several Air Pistol Matches (and a league) at a Maryland Club:

The Twelfth Precinct Pistol and Archery Club in Harwood, MD (about 15 miles SW of Annapolis) will hold NRA approved Air Pistol matches on February 19, March 19, and April 16, 2006. Although NRA approved, their flyer states that NRA membership is not required. See "Competition Open To:" at the following link:

http://www.twelfthprecinct.com/page25.html

In addition to the matches, there is an informal 40-shot AP league that meets every Wednesday evening throughout the year at 7:00 PM. Club membership is not required for participation. There is a $2.00 per week league fee.

Yes, I posted this same topic a couple months ago and wanted to bring it back up again. If you'd like more info contact:

George Petricko (psimica@localnet.com)

or visit the Twelfth's homepage at:

http://www.twelfthprecinct.com/

Or, an even better choice might be to just show up at one of their events. If you do, "just show up" for one of the leagues, mention my name to George and he may put your first week's league fee on my tab. He likes doing that to me...

These are dual NRA/USAS events, BTW. But sign up beforehand - the last couple of shoots have had two full relays, and they are working on a third. Good Sport.

Thanks for the extra info, Mike. I was going to ask George about the USAS side since I thought they were affiliated, but it wasn't mentioned in their program. That's good so USAS members can get their scores logged.

And, yes, for the matches, competitors should register in advance. My "just show up" comment should have been directed only toward the league, but I didn't start that paragraph properly.
