Raer Iris filters

Post by Josed »

Hi, I can't find usefull information on the use of color and/or polarization filters on rear iris on small bore rifles. I'm particularli interested in the use of the polarization filter. Thank's for any help anyone can give me.

Polarization filters are designed to reduce reflections. You can rotate the filter until reflections are minimized. They do reduce the light to the eye by about 60% (as I remember). One can use two polarizers to get a variable-density filter -- when the two filters are at 90 degress to each other, the light transmitted is vastly reduced.
