'Guest',
What are you acheivements and aspirations ? It's a little unfair to ask for every body elses without offering your own first.

Ok Rob, I will answer, but then I hope you and others will answer too...:-)

1. 2 years.

2. AP: 557 FP: 500?

3. AP: 583 FP: 555

4. Many good memories, hard to pick one, but the challenge and everytime I feel that things in my shooting improves, I feel great satisfaction.

5. 600 is maximum, and the pistol could do it, if I do 60 good shots in a row.

6. Olympic gold is the highest competition to win, but new world/olympic record, world champion and world cup final winner would be great achievements too!

This topic was discussed at some length in a previous thread -Score at Your First Match.

I don't understand the intent of your questions. I find trading statistics tedious. What is of more interest is an understanding of your training regimen that allowed you to shoot a 557 in your first AP match. Did/do you engage in other sports that gave you a 'leg up' on achieving such a good score your first time in competition?

Ok my turn but I'm deliberately answering only bits. Goals are very personal things in fact some are so personal I have so far kept them in my head and not committed them to paper (or PC ;-) ).

My first free pistol comp was I think around about 500 - give or take. My best was 523 I think - which I've never even approached in training.

Great feelings well I have a few that stick in my mind;

My first time over 560 in a comp. Not because of the score but for the fact the shoot felt just great. It was easy, I felt calm and relaxed and it was almost like I was in a kind of trance.

Next my first finals. In that I felt like jelly. I was sweating and nervous as hell. However I managed to overcome (more or less eliminated) my nerves, shot a very respectable final. I held my place and almost caught the guy up in front of me. That gave me a real buzz and I can still remember the feeling (well it was only last year ;-) ).

The other thing that I remember is my very first shooting medal. I came 2nd or 3rd in my class but I remember feeling really chuffed when my name was called out and I went up to get the medal - it's still on the top shelf in my trophy cabinet.

I can't think of any funny moments but I have a lot of fond memories already and I'm only young (well not real old anyway ;-) )

1. Plinking = 22 years. IPSC = 15 years. 10m AP = 5 years.

2. IIRC, about 520-525.

3. 563.

4. Shooting next to Bill Demarest at the 2001 Nationals.

5. 600. After all, I know I can shoot a 10. All I have to do is not screw up 60 times in a row. :-)

6. To shoot 60 perfect shots in a row...preferably at the Olympics.
