Need help to approve Olympic Shooting Center in Merced

Post by Tony »

Hi shooters,

Merced, CA is in the planning phase of building an Olympic Training Center/USA Shooting Complex. The city is the only hurdle standing in the way. The person organizing this venture as stated that all the residents that he has talked to are all for it. Bullseye matches would be allowed to be held there as well. This would be an ideal site for the 2012 Olympic Games for shooting. I have started an online petition and am asking for signatures. I have a pic of the site plan and another sheet of information that I will send upon request(off list please). http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/Mer ... ng_Center/

OK, I'm confused again.

London is hosting the 2012 Olympics.

The shooting will not even be held at Bisley as that is considered too far away from the Olympic village (20-30 miles). California may be ruled out for the same reason ;~)

Yes I agree,
California does seem a Tad far for a London daytrip.

I am mistaken about the 2012 date. I was going with what the director told me and may have heard wrong
Sorry
