Bore maintenance :

Post by cdf »

I own several PCP match pistol , I have a stupid noobie question . Some fellas who use precharged guns for hunting and field target advise lubing pellets , to protect the bore from rust caused by condensate . Many target pistol shooters say that cranking a few felt pellets thru the bore about every five thosand rounds or so is enuff .

I dont want to risk trashing the bore of a pistol that sets me back close to $2000.00 . What do you gents recommend as a maintenance regime . I would be really interested in pilkguns take on this , as a gunsmith and dealer/repairer of top quality target guns . I dont want to trash a bore by `either overzealous or negligent maintenance .

Thanks for input ,

Chris
