Kurt Thune Jacket - Button hole

Post by j.edwards »

I just got a new Expert Shooting Jacket. I had a TL-2 before. On the Expert there is an extra button hole between the top two regular button holes. It doesn't have the colored trim. It is just a plain slit with no trim.
What is this button hole for? BTW, I know button holes are for buttons :-)

Thats there so that when you shoot prone and only fasten a the top buttons you can fasten one extra one - it does make sence ..... somehow!

extra button hole

Post by Albert »

Some shooters (I am one of them) button their shooting jacket with the top button in the second button hole from the top. This way a pulling force on the left part of the shooting jacket shoulder/upper arm is prevented.
Perhaps the extra buttonhole is made for this purpose?

Thanks, guys. Janet Raab from Center Shot, where I got the jacket, confirmed what you both said.
