Hi all,
I'm looking to get into 10m air pistol without costing too much. I want either a CO2 or PCP gun if at all possible.
My price range is around $400-$500, preferably more like $400!
I have looked at the Tau-7 and the Drulov 10.
Can anyone give advice as to which might be better or just some advice in general is also good! ; )
Thanks,
John

Better Choice
Of the two, the Tau-7 is the one I would get... but I would get the IZH-46 for a new gun. It is single stroke pump with a grip that begs customization, but it will take you a long way. The best deal for entry level at this time is used CO2. Scott Pilkington currently has 2 Walther CP-2 guns available in your price range. They are a much better gun than the Tau and much better balanced than the IZH. CO2 is cheap and works well for local competitions. Flying with it is a concern, but you will probably be getting a new Steyr or Morini when you start traveling around the world to represent us in competitions.
