FWB P40 owners

Post by Nano »

To the owners:

I have received my p40 the las week.
The rear sight have the minimun aperture of 4,8mm and the front sight comes with 4.2mm wide.
The "light" between both sights when aiming, is too big for me, and I cant close more than 4,8mm.

Did other owner have the same problem?

aperture

Nano,

According to a FWB catalog I recently received, 4.8mm is supposed to be the MAXIMUM aperture, with a minimum of 1.5mm. Is there perhaps a locking screw that one needs to loosen before adjustment? Could you possibly be turning the adjustment device the wrong way (no insult implied - I have done this more than once!). Can you adjust the aperture to MORE than 4.8mm? If so, then perhaps there is a problem with your sample.

Nano, you have got 3 options:

1. Order the 4,5 mm front blade available from the factory, or
2. move the front blade one or two steps to the rear. There are 3 milled, drilled and tapped flats for positioning of the front blade.
3. Close the width of the rear sight slot by turning the small screw at the right of the rear sight in the - (minus) direction.

I have not experienced any problem at adjusting the rear sight of my P40.
