I have just bought a FWB 601. I am very happy and I hope to improve my performance. To be able to train dry fire, I made it a very simple (and reversible) modification. I tied a fishing nylon rope, to the bar that mounts the mechanism (under the cylinder of air), going by the hole of the front screw of the swivel. In the end I put a ring for the finger.Does somebody have a better idea?
Buy a dry fire cocking handle from a mod 603 and mount it on the cockingbar. You need someone to make a threaded hole in the cockingbar. Next take away a little wood at the place the dry fire handle want's to come out.
This is what I did to my former mod. 600.
Feinwerkbau, sales dept. say:
"The use of the dry firing device is not so critical compared to the firing pin of small bore rifles. Anyway, there will be more wear and tear on the trigger parts as ell as the valve and firing pin, but the wear and tear will be the same as when firing pellets."
