Pardini K2s

Post by Terry »

I'm looking at purchasing a Pardini K2s. I would be interested in any comments regarding this pistol. Good or Bad. also, what's the normal fill pressure on this pistol and approx. how many shots per fill. I will be using a Hill pump.

Thanks, Terry

Hi Terry,
I have a K2s and really like it. I had lots of prior experience with the Steyr Lp1, Morini electonic, various FWBs including the 34, and some co2 Walthers, and misc. pneumatics before purchasing the Pardini. So, I feel that I can offer a fair comparison. It is definitely in the same class as the Steyr and Morini, which are, of course, excellent.
Superb accuracy, a great trigger with a wide range of adjustments, and nice sights and grip. I have a Pardini SP 22 so I enjoy the similar grip, sights, and trigger. The trigger feel I use and like is crisp and light. I never could get the LP1 to have the same crisp, creep-free feel.
I usually fill it with scuba up to about 150 bar, then top it off with a Hill pump to 200 or 250. It is rated as full with 250. The velocity is very high but I still get about 120 to 150 shots out of a full cylinder.
I don't really have any negative comments. The dry fire lever is a bit odd. It should only be moved when the gun is unloaded and with the loading gate open. It will discharge if the lever is moved from dry to live fire if it is cocked, loaded, and with the chamber closed. Don Nygord explained why this is and mentioned a few other similar APs.
Overall, an excellent and under-rated gun.

Thanks for the info Jim. The current owner fills it with SCUBA to 250 bar but I've never had my pump that high, the fun goes out of pumping by 200 bar :^). If I can get about 100 shots out of 200 bar I'll be happy.

Thanks again, Terry

Hi Terry,
I forgot to mention that I have the short version. 100 shots out of 200bar is no problem. If you're looking at the full length K2s, you should be in even better shape!
Have Fun!
