FRONT SIGHT APERTURE

Post by FAVELINI »

I JUST STARTED TO PRACTICE 10M AIR RIFLE BUT I NEED AN ADVICE ABOUT FRONT SIGHT APERTURE. I'M USSING 3.2 BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S TO SMALL OR IT'S OK AT THE BEGINING.

10 Air Increase size

You may want to try about a 4.2 or 4.4 in 10Meter Air. 3.2 is probably a little small, even for smallbore.

A good rule I've learned from someone is to have about 50% of the bulls width in white around the target. This will seem big when you first start to shoot with it, but after a little while you'll become accustomed to it. I know great shooters who shoot with really tight front aperatures, but you really run the risk of an optical illusion when you go too small. Something about as light bends around a corner it refracts, and disperses, causing it appear to have a line of white around it when it truly doesn't.
