Grips...Nill vs. Morini

Friends:

Currently, I'm using a set of Nill grips on my Hämmerli 208S. I was thinking about the possibility to purchase also a set of Morini grips, as I have heard that they are much better than Nill. What do you think about?. Would it worth its while?

I have the 208s with the stock grips. I decided to try the Morini's to see if there was any improvement.

After putting them on the gun I wasnt able to tell the difference between them and the stock grips the gun came with.

I haven't tried the Nill grips on the 208 though, but if you can try it with the stock grips you should have your answer about the Morini's.

What is it you dont like about the Nills?

Nills are equal to or better than Morini in my opinion - especially if you have a small to medium size hand. The Nill has a rougher texture and a cut that lets a person with a shorter finger contact the trigger better with some guns.

I liked everything from the Nill grips. Only I'm curious about the Morini.

I'm unable to check the factory grips, as the ones that came with mi 208S are Medium, and my hand is XL.

I know both, Nill & Morini, from personal experience, and I have talked with both companies several times (with Cesare Morini before he left the Morini company, with Francesco (hi, if you read this...) Repich later, with Karl and his son Wilfried Nill since years). I prefer Nill grips because of the lower thumb line (which was reduced also at Morini S.A. during the last years, only Cesare believes that the thumb has to put so high)

We have an alternative in germany now: Thomas Rink, a former national team shooter (and the current 22 sport pistol champion with 583 points) has his own shop with CAD designed grips. He also offers excellent Free Pistol grips, both adjustable and customized) and every grip also in laminated wood with some colours to choose from.

The grips are approx in the same price region than the two others, and he has also some partner-shops in the USA (Don Nygord) and in other countries:
