Please explain impact of Rapid Fire rule changes

Hi all, I'm an AP guy who would like to understand all the chat about Rapid Fire. Which of the rule changes are causing equipment changes and how will the equipment change? Thanks.

Can't use .22 short guns with ported barrels and extended sight radius. Basically, the requirements are the same as Sport Pistol. This means you'll want to pass over the Walther OSPs; FAS OP60s; Pardini GPs and GPEs.
Basically all the folks that have one of these already are upset. Everyone else is happy that they can use one gun to shoot two events.

Instead, look for Sport Pistols like the Walther GSP, KSP200; Pardini SP; Morini CM22; Matchguns MG-2; Feinwerkbau AW93; IZH 35; FAS 607; Benelli MP 90; Hammerli SP20, 208; SAM SAM22; Tesro TS-22...
am I missing any?

To answer your question, it is specifically rule 8.6.4.8 which says:-
Specific Rules for the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Event
Targets: No change
Program: No change
Pistol: All measurements and weights as described in 8.16.0 for
25 m Rim Fire Pistols (25m Pistol and Standard Pistol) are valid
without any exceptions (compensators, muzzle brakes, perforated
barrels or any device(s) functioning in a similar manner are not
allowed).
Ammunition: 5,6 mm (.22”) Rim fire Long Rifle
For the Rapid Fire Pistol Event: Minimum bullet weight 2.53g = 39gr;
Minimum velocity 250m/sec.
