Sauer Pistol rest vs ISSF regulations

Post by MartinF »

Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a Sauer Pistol rest, but I have a question: are there any height regulations for such rests in the ISSF rules? I searched the ISSF rules but couldn’t find that information. However, I'm not particularly skilled at locating specific details in such extensive documents, so I'm hoping you can confirm that! :)

thanks! Regards

No height regulations as you have to adjust it to fit you personally and we are all different. Hope this helps, ISSF rested pistol is taking off in the UK which is nice.

I mean the one for standard air pistol competition - to be put on a shooting bench. Like in the photo:

The minimum height of the firing point is .70 meter, the maximum height is 1.00 meter. Parts of the rule are scattered in different places,…

Section 6-

Also, Section 6

Section 8-

When the Sauer blocks are being used by an athlete I have seen range officials measuring to make sure that the height, at the top of the block, is not more than 1.00 meter. Should not be an issue with height adjustable firing point benches.

As long as it isn't higher than one meter, to comply with rule 8.6.3, you can use it.

Hope this helps
