WTB Stock to house 20xx (square) Anschutz barreled action
Hello!
I'm searching for a stock - ANY STOCK - that can house a 2013/2313 barreled action. I competed in the early 2000's-2010 in 3p, and now my oldest son is getting back into the sport. When I left USNA, I had to leave the Team's stock there, but I owned the barreled action. So I have all my gear except for a stock, and I'm hoping to get back into the sport (probably just prone, being that at this point I'm an old man) and keep my son in check ;)
If you have or know of anyone that has a stock that can house a square action Anschutz, please let me know! I've been searching for a while and at this point the only option I can find is one of the new MEC stocks that's around $3k - with 4 kids and on active duty, I'm not going to be able to foot that bill...
Thanks!
Josh

Hello,
The tec-hro fanatic stock would fit the 2013 barreled action. It is still around $1,600 new without a buttplate.

Have you considered making your own stock? I made several for both my 1900 aand 2000 rifles using Home Depot oak and a table saw, plus a drill, some drill bits, and a couple of rasps, some glue and a bit of sand paper. My designed evolved over the series I built. They have worked quite well. The cost is probably less than $50. per stock if you have the tools. James Storm

I'm intrigued by this option! Do you have any pictures or schematics? I would love to do this as a project. I have a table saw, drill, drill bits, glue and sand paper, but curious how you created the bedding for the action into the stock?James Storm wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 8:20 pm Have you considered making your own stock? Send me your email and I will send you some photos. If you are interested in proceeding with building one, I can give you some tips I have discovered about simplifying the build and the cost and producing a better and faster build.. Jim jamesestormmd@yahoo.com
