Cheek rest.

Post by nicolas G »

Hello friends,
I'm taking back my rifle cheek rest on which I'm missing a bit of height.
Should I have a prominent cheekbone or should it be a little rounded?
I only shoot 60 bullets in the prone position.
Thank you for your valuable advice.

Can try a 3d printed one, let me know if you want to build a custom design

I think the OP was asking about the shape of the cheekpiece where his face touches, square like an Anschutz Precise or rounded like an Anschutz 1811, rather than the construction.

Personally I don't like rounded cheekpieces. My face is wide and my cheekbones are small. My head slides about on a rounded cheekpiece. I do best with a nearly square shape with the edge chamfered a little for comfort.

Thanks TIM, that's exactly the information I was looking for. I'll make it like yours.
