IZH 35m

Post by Erniece »

Hello,
I have been using a spent casing for dry firing, it gets pretty distorted! and after a while it need a bit of help to get out.
Any other solutions?
I have been told you can dry fire with out anything, but i don't! not after seeing that nurled rim!

Cheers
Ernie

Many of the guys here use plastic screw anchors. Very cheap at a hardware store (many matches give them away) and last a long time. They MAY feed through your magazine.

These are the ones I use:

If you check the reviews, there are quite a few from people using them for this purpose.

No need for snap caps in the TOZ!
Simply "Set" the trigger with the left lever, and dry fire to your hearts content.

brent375hh- We're talking here about a TOZ 35M Pistol- Single shot .22cal for 50 Meters.
That wiki article is not about the TOZ.
Looks like this: https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2019/11 ... ee-pistol/

waxman: why should we talk about TOZ-35M, when OP explicitly asks about IZH-35M? They are two different beasts, and only the IZH needs snap caps - or not, I'm not sure. The front face of the firing pin has a flat surface that should hit the back of the chamber and prevent the harm done by dry firing. But I haven't taken the risk with mine.

My bad! You are correct- I was unaware the IZH 35M was a totally different pistol than the TOZ 35M!
Both Russian, but different factories/pistols.
Please excuse my intrusion.
