I recently bought an air rifle that has an old Anschutz adjustable butt pad (like the one pictured) that is missing the bolt that is used to connect the hook to the butt pad. It appears the bolt is an M8 however the pitch of the bolt I bought locally (1.5) didn't fit the butt pad thread.
I am guessing that the the bolt needs to be a M8 - 1.0 bolt but before I order one I wanted to be sure. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Re: Anschutz adjustable butt pad hook bolt thread
You know, that's just a socket head capscrew. Nothing terribly special. Go to a Grainger, Tacoma screw products or any of a number of other common industrial supply houses and take the hook assy to the counter. They have thingys to check threads and can set you up. My replacement bolts were 3 dollars for a bag of 5........
