Sewing Champions Choice Jacket

Post by kbean »

Has anyone tried to re-sew a jacket? I’m wondering what equipment was used, etc. I’m thinking about my trying to get an off the rack coat to fit better.
Thank you!

Have used a cobbler for adding pads. A custom canvas shop would have the commercial grade sewing machines as well.

rgibson is correct....
I also used a shoe repair shop with their heavy duty sewing machine.
they did my sleeves and back area. turned out well. still using the jacket 10 years later.
Hammer to shape, file to fit, paint to match...

Shoe cobbler, canvas (boat cover/awning) repair shop is best.

Do NOT use a home sewing machine or embroidery machine - only a commercial machine and someone who knows how to sew.
